Customer Success - Retention Insights & Analytics Fall Intern

Slack is looking for a curious and inquisitive intern to add to our understanding of why customers renew and grow with Slack. Strong customer retention is the heart of every successful SaaS (Software as a Service) business, and as our Retention Insights & Analytics intern, you will work directly with our Customer Success & Sales teams to provide actionable insights into how our teams can continue to strengthen our best-in-class retention rates.

As a smart and scrappy problem solver, you will quickly gather and prioritize hypotheses to test, through internal interviews with Customer Success Managers and Account Executives. You will use your strong data skills (proficiency in SQL and Excel is highly preferred) to combine various disparate data sources (e.g., demographic data, usage data) to analyze how different cohorts of customers use Slack.

Requirements

  • Interest in working in Customer Success, BizOps, or Analytics full time in the future
  • Exceptional data analysis skills, ideally proficient in SQL and Excel
  • Positive "can do" attitude and growth mindset
  • Detail orientation with ability to identify nuances in large data-sets
  • Comfortable and flexible working in a rapidly changing environment
  • Effective, clear, and concise communication skills, verbal and written 
  • Must be available to work full time in our San Francisco office 
  • Must be graduating May 2019 or later
