Senior Manager, Sales Operations, Process Improvement

Slack is looking for an analytical, detail-oriented, and creative Senior Manager to join the Sales Operations team. As the first individual on the sales operations team specifically focused on process improvements, you will be responsible for identifying business improvement areas and collaborating with IT and sales management to help guide changes involving people, process and technology. You will design and drive forward projects to improve and streamline sales execution and sales operations execution, setting clear goals and aggressive but achievable timelines for a cross-functional team involving IT, sales management, operations and finance. You will proactively drive urgency and alignment in your projects and be a champion on behalf of Sales Operations and Sales & Customer Success Management as you navigate Slack. Ideal candidates will have a deep understanding and hands-on experience with sales operations, CRM, scaling lead to close processes at Enterprise Software companies, including projects such as territory planning or account assignments.


  • Help develop prioritized roadmap of run-the-business enhancements and optimizations to existing tools and related CRM integrations and functionality
  • Develop exceptionally effective relationships and regular communication with business partners - in a highly matrixed team environment.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert and a key point of contact on tools and process within Sales Operations, participating in IT scrum meetings as a key input for IT execution
  • Partner with IT and all key stakeholders to ensure business objectives of enhancements and optimizations are met in harmony with existing sales operations and sales processes
  • Partner to craft strong non-technical documentation and key playbooks for tools and workflows leveraged by Sales Operations and related key functions


  • 7+ years of experience leading projects cross functionally within a global sales organization
  • Sales operations experience with focus on partnering with IT and Systems teams
  • Working  knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud and CPQ as well as an understanding and experience with the broader sales tools landscape
  • High EQ communicator who can to speak in front varied audiences, including executives
  • Non-technical experience collaborating deeply with IT teams and operations teams
  • Strong business judgement and project management skills
