Sr. Technical Program Manager, Analytics

Analytics & Data Engineering are creating innovative solutions to help Slack make effective, data-driven decisions. These teams deliver trusted data sets, dashboards and data products to accelerate the growth of Sales, Marketing, Finance and People teams.

We are looking for an exceptional Sr. Technical Program Manager who will support the Analytics & Data Engineering teams. You will act as a trusted advisor to the team managers, and proactively identify risks and suggest process improvements as needed. You will build solid working relationships with Sales and Sales Operations partners.

In this role, you will drive project execution from scoping through delivery. You’ll plan requirements, identify risks, manage schedules and communicate clearly with project stakeholders. You will ensure the work is well understood, resourced appropriately, and executed successfully.

Responsibilities

  • Play Scrum Master to the Sales Analytics, Data Engineering, and Data Platform teams
  • Manage a program of technical projects impacting Analytics & Data Engineering activities.
  • Work with the key partners to identify/resolve all issues that could impact project scope and/or timeframes. Creatively develop plans to mitigate any issues that affect the project deliverables.
  • Develop project plans, resource plans, with accuracy and in collaboration with technical resources​.
  • Provide hands-on project management during discovery, design, development, testing, implementation, and post-implementation phases​.
  • Provide day-to-day coordination for projects and tasks, deliver projects on time against the agreed-upon critical metrics​.
  • Partner and collaborate with a global workforce. This will require some work outside of normal business hours.

Requirements:

  • At least 7+ years in an organization leading planning, resource management, project lifecycles, and workflows in a technical program/project management, or systems engineering role.
  • Experience with agile software development methodologies and productivity tools, and the flexible application thereof.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, relationship building and experience working in a collaborative environment with diverse cross-functional teams - specifically, bridging technical and business partners.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing requirements and situations
  • Comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • BA/BS etc. are required
  • Experience in a fast-growing environment. SaaS experience a plus.
  • Detailed oriented, and self-motivated, with strong analytical skills​.

Bonus Points:

  • Strong preference for experience in enterprise analytics - data warehousing, dashboard/ data products development
  • Experience as a consultant working with multiple clients in a project or program management role.
  • You are an active Slack user​.

The base pay range targeted for this role is {$140,833 to $197,167}. This base pay range is for illustrative purposes only. This position is eligible for additional compensation and benefits including: incentive compensation; health benefits; flexible spending account; retirement benefits; life insurance; commuter benefits; paid time off (including PTO, emergency time off, paid sick leave, medical leave, volunteer time off, civic duty leave, bereavement leave, floating holidays and paid holidays); parental leave and benefits; mobile phone and internet allowance; perks stipend; and other employee perks and benefits.

The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be at the company's sole discretion, and determined by a myriad of factors including, but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, and other relevant business considerations.
