Sign in to multiple workspaces

Desktop app

Browser

iOS

Android

  1. From your desktop, click the plus icon on the left-hand side of the app. You’ll see it below the workspaces you’re signed in to and to the left of your channel list.
  2. When your browser opens, enter your Slack URL, then click Continue. If you’re already signed in on the browser, you’ll be signed in automatically on the desktop app.
  3. If not signed in on the browser, enter your email address and password, then click Sign in. Or authenticate using your company’s single sign-on (SSO) provider.

Note: If you’re only signed in to one workspace, for the first step, click on your workspace name in the top left and select Sign in to another workspace.

Using Slack on the web, you can open each workspace in a separate browser tab — just enter your Slack URL in your browser's address bar to sign in. You'll receive desktop notifications for all workspaces simultaneously.

If you prefer to use a single browser tab, click your workspace name in the top left and select Sign in to another workspace. You'll be able to switch between workspaces from this menu.

  1. Swipe right or tap the workspace icon to open the channel list.
  2. Tap the Slack icon until you reach your list of workspaces.
  3. Tap Add workspaces to sign in to another workspace.
  4. Tap the email you’d like to use. You'll see a list of workspaces with accounts linked to that email, as well as any other workspaces you’re able to join.
  5. If you don’t see the email you want to use, tap Confirm another email address and enter your email address.
  6. On the same mobile device, check your email and click Confirm Email Address to return to the Slack app.
  1. Swipe right or tap the workspace icon to open the channel list.
  2. Tap the Workspaces Menu.
  3. Tap the Add workspace button to sign in to another workspace.

Unless you sign out of a workspace or org, your workspace icons will remain on the left-hand side of the app, so you can switch between them easily.

Resolve problems signing in to Slack

We’re sorry you’re having a hard time signing in to your workspace.

Forgot your password?

  1. Visit the sign-in page and enter your workspace URL.
  2. Click the Forgot password? link and enter your email address. You should receive a reset link right away.

Not receiving emails?

  • Double-check your email address. If you have different addresses for personal and work email, make sure you’re using the right one.
  • Check your Spam folder and talk to your IT team. If emails from Slack aren’t getting delivered to your inbox or Spam folder, or links in our emails are expiring, ask IT to whitelist no-reply@slack.com and feedback@slack.com.

2FA not working?

Review the troubleshooting steps in Set up two-factor authentication.

Note: You may need to ask a Workspace Owner or Admin to temporarily disable 2FA for your account so you can sign in.
