Remove apps and custom integrations from your workspace
Remove apps and custom integrations from your workspace
Removing an app or custom integration differs depending on who built it and how it's configured. We’ve put together this handy guide to walk you through everything you need to know.
Note: If a Workspace Owner has enabled app approval for your workspace, only Workspace Owners and app managers will be able to remove apps.
The basics
Third-party apps, Slack-built apps, and workspace token apps You can removethem entirely from your workspace, or disable individual authorizations (third-party apps) or configurations (Slack-built apps). Workspace token apps were built on a legacy framework, so removing them from Slack works a bit differently.
Custom integrations You can disable a custom integration for your entire workspace, or delete individual configurations.
Click the Installed apps tab at the top of the screen.
Find and select the app you want to remove.
From the app page, click the Configurations tab.
Third-party apps: • Scroll down to Remove App and select Remove App. Slack-built apps: • Click the pencil icon, then select Remove. (If there's only one configuration set up, you won't see the pencil icon — simply click Remove at the top of the page.)
Workspace token apps
The GitHub, Sentry, and Zendesk apps were all built using a legacy framework. To uninstall one of these apps from your workspace, follow the steps below:
Click the Installed apps tab at the top of the screen.
Find and select the app you’d like to modify.
From the app page, click the Configurations tab.
Third-party apps: • Under Authorizations, click Revoke next to the setup you’d like to remove. Slack-built apps: • Click the pencil icon, then select Disable in the top right.
