In an Enterprise Grid org, only org owners and org admins can manage shared channels by default. They can also set related permissions for all workspaces in their org and allow others to perform these actions:
Org owners and admins can give workspace owners, workspace admins and other members permission to manage shared channels. To decide who can manage shared channels in your org, use the steps below:
From your desktop, click your workspace name in the top left.
Select Administration, then Organisation settings from the menu.
Click Settings, then Channel administration.
Next to Shared channel requests, click Edit.
Decide who can manage shared channels, then click Save setting.
Managing shared channels
Org owners, org admins and those with permission to manage shared channels have the ability to perform the actions below.
View all shared channels
To view all the shared channels in your org or workspace, as well as the external organisations they’re shared with, use the steps below:
Org level
From your desktop, click your workspace name in the top left.
Select Administration, then Organisation settingsfrom the menu to open the Admin dashboard.
Below Organisation on the left, click External sharing to view a list of your org’s shared channels.
Workspace level
From your desktop, click your workspace name in the top left.
Select Administration from the menu.
Click Manage shared channels.
From the Organisations tab on the left, view a list of your workspace’s shared channels and the organisations you’re sharing channels with.
Manage shared channel requests
Org owners, org admins and those with permission to manage shared channels can approve or decline a shared channel request by following the steps below:
From your desktop, click your workspace name in the top left.
Select Administration from the menu.
Click Manage shared channels.
Select the Pending requests tab on the left.
Choose Approve or Decline next to the channel names.
