Sr Leave Analyst

 What you will be doing

  • You will manage all administrative aspects of leaves in the United States and Canada which include workers’ compensation claims and accommodations to include tracking hours available/used in Workday, completing state/provincial and/or insurance paperwork and working closely with HR Operations and Payroll to ensure that pay for employees is correct
  • You will create and document current and future leave, disability, workers compensation, and pay processes and procedures  
  • You will create digestible leave communication pieces for employees, managers and People Partners that include available leave programs globally, provide leave qualifications, eligibility and training in conjunction with a third party leave administrator(s) as well as in region business partners
  • You will educate, counsel and notify managers and People Partners about specific employee leave of absence and work comp events and situations
  • You will respond to Workers' Compensation (W/C) claims, audits and case management reviews and work with TPA in managing and administration of claims
  • You will own compliance for leaves including worker’s compensation, accommodations or any other leave benefit which includes processes and procedures for all regions and any applicable local employment law changes
  • You will partner and collaborate with a Global Benefits Manager to analyze current leave programs as well as develop new region leave programs by understanding trends, benchmarking and program data analytics to make recommended improvements to plan design
  • You will look for or create improvements to the employee leave and return from leave experience
  • You will assist in the implementation of third party leave administrator(s) as needed and manage leave vendors as well as in region business partners
  • You will partner with a Global Benefits Manager to build and maintain Workday leave self-service globally

What you should have

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years of experience with:
    • Employer obligations under ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act)
    • Reading/interpreting disability plans and explain coverage and benefits
    • Workers' compensation claims and benefits
    • Writing process documents, updating policy documents and employee communications
    • Resolving employee/manager inquiries around leave and time off plans, disability plans, return to work, reasonable accommodation, including complicated scenarios and escalated issues
    • Experience with implementation of external vendors
    • Experience with file integrations and error review processes
    • Experience implementing Voluntary Disability Insurance (VDI)
    • Workday
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and take initiative in a dynamic environment
