Senior Product Marketing Manager, Conversion

Slack is on the search for an accomplished and strategic product marketing manager to drive team upgrades and conversion. This is a newly formed role, offering the opportunity to build fresh conversion initiatives from scratch. The Sr. PMM will be charged with developing, executing and analyzing programs to enlighten users on Slack’s paid plans. This individual will thoughtfully optimize our pricing page and checkout flows and manage the creation of educational campaigns focused on our paid plans. We seek a highly analytical and creative self-starter who has the keen ability to promote paid features in-product. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building impactful conversion initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Here at Slack collaboration is key. This Sr. PMM will partner closely with product, design, user research and analytics; with the collective vision of increased upgrades!  
  • You will identify significant long-term opportunities based on research, analysis and a strategic view of the direction of the market.
  • Collaborate with product management and analytics on monetization strategy with respect to pricing, packaging, and positioning.
  • Drive product adoption and usage rates by supporting market-facing programs and effective product launch support.
  • Develop, test and launch original upgrade campaigns.
  • Optimize upgrade flows and increase speed to upgrade.

Requirements:

  • We seek a leader who inspires confidence and has the ability to influence while driving impactful programs.
  • Previous success building significant conversion initiatives.
  • Expertise in understanding data, telling stories, and executing across channels to create a customer-focused product experiences.  
  • Experience applying deep customer insights to optimize the user experience.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills: a strong marketing and customer point of view and can articulate it in a way that influences key partners and stakeholders.
  • Analytical: understand impact of campaigns by analyzing results and developing a plan of action to optimize performance.
  • Creative idea generation and execution, including writing copy, developing campaign ideas, working with design, etc.
  • Experience working on monetization for SaaS products a plus.
  • BA degree required; MA or MBA is also a plus.
  • 4+ years of product marketing experience.
