Frequently asked questions
Excellent question. When your team uses Slack, it becomes your digital HQ. It’s a place where work flows between your people, systems, partners and customers. Slack breaks down communication silos inside and beyond your organisation by bringing teams and tools together around common goals, projects and processes in channels and in Slack Connect. It removes the limits of physical walls, giving people the flexibility to do their best work where, when and how they prefer with huddles and clips. And it empowers everyone to automate common tasks with apps and workflows.
The cost of Slack for your company is based on the number of users actively using Slack and whether you are paying monthly or annually. For a comparison of all of the pricing subscriptions, please visit the pricing page.
Every day we check to see if everyone on your team is active. If they have been inactive for a period of time, we stop charging you for that person and add a prorated credit to your account for the time that you’ve already paid. You’ll always and only be billed for what you use – fair and square!
Team owners can change the team’s subscription level. There are two options when downgrading from a paid subscription to the Free subscription:
You can downgrade to the Free subscription immediately. If there is more than one day until your renewal date, we will prorate the remaining balance on your account and hold it for your team as a credit. You can use that credit towards a reactivation of your paid subscription in the future.
We can automatically downgrade you to the Free subscription at your next renewal date. Your subscription will remain active at its current level up to the end of the billing period that you’ve already paid for.
We do not offer refunds.
