Data retention policy
Kora Captures two types of Data:
Metadata: Metadata contains search references to the real-time objects like email, calendars, Drive related objects.
This data is captured as part of bot conversation history during the search events on 3rd Party systems (Emails, Drives, 3rd party connectors). This data is retained for 7 years by default and can be customized.
Ex: For email object - From, To, Subject and first 100 characters of the email are captured.
Account Data: This includes the User profile details and the objects create within Kora like Team names, Knowledge Collections, Articles created in Kora (Meeting Notes) etc.,
This data is retained until the customer remains with Kora as needed by the business (similar to Gmail / O365).
Data archiving and removal policy
KORA has data wipe scripts that go through data collections and delete organization-specific data on retention expiry. Data wipe scripts also destroy organization-specific encryption keys and make them irrecoverable.
Data storage policy
KORA DB backup snapshot is taken every 30 minutes and kept in AWS S3 buckets and this will be used for disaster recovery
