ShayHi stores the minimum necessary data to provide our service. We store basic user profile data such as name and email, as well as workspace and channel IDs. We use email addresses as unique identifiers for our users. Customer data is kept as long as the customer keeps an open account.
Data archiving and removal policy
We delete customer data from our core system immediately upon request. We keep two weeks of daily backups of our core data, after which backups of user’s data are deleted.
Data storage policy
ShayHi customer data is encrypted at rest via AES-256, and only transfers data over encrypted connections. We store most customer data in Amazon RDS. We store user profile pictures and fact photos in Cloudinary, and cache profile collage photos in Amazon S3.

Users can completely delete their data from our system. On their Account page at https://shayhi.com/account, they can select the “Delete my Account” option and all their user data is deleted.
While this app may offer HIPAA compliance, Slack does not have a business associate agreement with any third-party application providers, including those in the Slack App Directory, so you are responsible for validating the provider's compliance and executing an appropriate agreement before enabling.
