Helperbot is your friendly neighborhood Scrum assistant, perfect for distributed and co-located teams alike. This native Slack application streamlines your agile workflow, reducing meeting time while promoting asynchronous work. /estimate [user story] to request story point estimations from your team. Helperbot hides votes until you mark voting complete, then provides median and average points. Privacy & data governance
Data retention policy
We don't use invasive permission scopes (no user methods, no conversations read methods, etc), and therefore don't and cannot retain personal information beyond Slack payloads, handles and IDs.
Other than the tokens needed to interface with your Slack account, Helperbot stores /estimate, /rate, and /cr data for up to two weeks since the last interaction with the item, but we may store obfuscated utilization data (not directly attributable to a particular person or specific Slack domain) in perpetuity to determine how Helperbot is used and to improve the service ❤️
If you submit feedback via the Helperbot 'Feedback' button, we may store that response for up to 1 year.
Data archiving and removal policy
After a two-week non-interaction window has expired for an item, the in-memory data store (Redis) removes the expired item. Individual requests submitted to helperbot-support@alley.com to delete other data are handled within a week.
Data storage policy
Data services are provided by shared-tenant third-party cloud vendors (https://www.heroku.com/redis and https://www.jawsdb.com/). Though information is encrypted in transit via TLS/SSL, data is not encrypted-at-rest at the current plan offerings with these vendors.

Requests to delete data should be sent to helperbot-support@alley.com. Any request to delete data will be honored, but may result in our inability to continue providing the service (if we don't know which Slack account to send to, who is voting, etc)

While this app may offer HIPAA compliance, Slack does not have a business associate agreement with any third-party application providers, including those in the Slack Marketplace, so you are responsible for validating the provider's compliance and executing an appropriate agreement before enabling.
