Privacy & data governance

Data retention policy

‍We will only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it, including for the purposes of satisfying any of our legal, accounting or reporting obligations. To determine the appropriate retention period for your personal information, we consider the amount, nature and sensitivity of the personal information, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of your personal information, the purposes for which we process your personal information, and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means. We will never retain your personal information for longer than we are allowed under applicable law. When we no longer require your personal information, we will either securely delete it or anonymize it (so that it can no longer be associated with you). Where we choose to anonymize your personal information, we may continue using it indefinitely in anonymized format without further notice to you.

Data archiving and removal policy

During the contract: Customer content is retained indefinitely unless the customer requests deletion. After contract termination: Upon an authorized deletion request, data is deleted within 60 days. If no deletion request is received, data is automatically deleted within 180 days following contract termination, unless instructed otherwise or retention is required by law. LLM retention settings

Gamma does not retain customer data with LLM providers beyond real-time inference. Generated outputs follow Gamma's retention policy: deleted within 60 days of an authorized request, or 180 days after contract termination.

LLM data tenancy policy

Gamma is multi-tenant. Customer data is isolated by workspace and user ID via role-based access controls. Content is not accessible to other customers. AI providers are contractually prohibited from using customer data for model training.

LLM data residency policy

Customer data is processed in the US. Prompts are transmitted to third-party AI providers over encrypted connections (TLS 1.2+) for real-time inference only. No customer data is stored by providers beyond inference. See https://gamma.app/subprocessors.
