CloseCore for Slack helps accounting teams keep month-end close work moving from the place they already communicate.
CloseCore is a month-end close management and financial workflow platform for close checklists, reconciliations, review notes, transaction alerts, and close progress tracking. The Slack app connects those workflows to Slack so accountants, controllers, and CFOs can see important close updates without chasing status in meetings or switching tools.
After a user connects Slack from CloseCore, the CloseCore app can send selected notifications directly to that connected Slack user. Each user chooses which notification types they want to receive from their CloseCore notification settings.
CloseCore Slack messages can include close task and reconciliation status updates, tasks that are overdue, due soon, or ready for review, review note assignments and replies, reconciliation accounts that fall out of balance, transaction alert matches, and daily or weekly close progress summaries.
Messages include the relevant task, due date, review note, reconciliation, or close context, plus links back to the related CloseCore workflow. For supported review workflows, users can also sign off or un-sign off directly from Slack.
Close teams use CloseCore for Slack to reduce status meetings, keep task owners and reviewers aligned, and make close progress visible as work changes. Controllers and CFOs get faster visibility into close progress, while accountants get timely reminders and review updates in the workspace they already use.

Data retention policy
Our platform retains Customer Data only as necessary to fulfill the purpose of providing the Service and in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements. Customer Data may be retained:
For the duration of the customer’s active subscription or Free Trial Period.
For a limited period post-termination, solely to facilitate data recovery at the customer’s request or to comply with legal obligations.
We ensure that retention policies are aligned with data minimization principles, retaining only what is necessary for service continuity, compliance, or legitimate business purposes.
Data archiving and removal policy
We adhere to the following guidelines regarding the archival and removal of Customer Data:
Archival: Customer Data is not archived unless specifically requested or required by contractual obligations. Archival data is secured using reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect its confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
Data Removal: Upon termination of services, we follow customer instructions to delete or return all Customer Data in a timely manner, unless required by law to retain it. Any residual data, including backups containing Customer Data, will be securely deleted within a reasonable timeframe following the conclusion of the Free Trial Period or service termination.
Our processes ensure compliance with privacy laws and minimize risks related to unauthorized data access.

Monitoring and Auditing: We monitor and audit data storage systems for unauthorized access or vulnerabilities to maintain the highest level of security and compliance.

Data deletion request procedure
We have a clear process to handle customer requests for data deletion:
Request Verification:
Customers submit data deletion requests through our designated support channel or as outlined in their service agreement.
We verify the request to ensure it comes from an authorized representative of the customer.
Data Deletion Process:
Upon verification, we delete all Customer Data from active systems and associated backups within a reasonable timeframe.
Where applicable, we provide confirmation of deletion.
Exceptions and Compliance:
Data subject to legal, regulatory, or contractual retention requirements will be excluded from deletion. In such cases, we ensure its confidentiality and limit access until it can be deleted.
Security of the Process:
Deletion requests are logged and tracked to ensure completion and accountability.
Any deletion is conducted in accordance with security best practices to prevent unauthorized access or data recovery.
