The SecureFlag app for Slack enhances user engagement by delivering notifications from the SecureFlag platform directly into Slack. The app delivers announcements, reminders, and interactive trivia to selected channels or as direct messages.Users with a valid SecureFlag license will receive messages such as:
- Announcements about new content or feature releases.
- Reminders about tournaments or secure coding challenges.
- Interactive trivia quizzes.
- Notifications about assigned or completed SecureFlag activities.To enable the app, an active SecureFlag subscription is required. If you don't have one, please feel free to contact us.

Data retention policy
SecureFlag retains only the data necessary to support the app functionality, such as installation and state details. All data is securely stored and managed in accordance with our internal data retention policy. No message content or Slack user PII is stored, except for email addresses obtained from the SecureFlag subscription for personal notifications.
Data archiving and removal policy
SecureFlag removes data in accordance with our data retention policy. When the app is uninstalled from a workspace, the associated data is marked as inactive and retained for up to one year before being permanently deleted.
Data storage policy
SecureFlag stores all data securely in accordance with our internal data storage policies. Data related to the app is encrypted both at rest and in transit using industry-standard encryption protocols, with all public access fully restricted.

Users can request data deletion by filling out the support form at https://secureflag.com/support.html or by emailing us at support@secureflag.com. Once a request is received, we will delete the relevant data in accordance with our privacy policy and applicable data protection laws.
