Privacy & data governance

Data retention policy

When a step, file, flow, user, or team is deleted, all access to its associated data and settings is also deleted. This excludes backups, which can be deleted or restored at the request of the customer who owns that particular flow. Backups are stored for a maximum of 30 days before being deleted. With the exception of files directly uploaded to Parabola, data stored in Parabola Tables, and exported snapshots, data in a flow is stored for a maximum of 14 days, or until the next flow runs. Emailed files are also subject to the same 14-day retention period. More info can be found at - https://parabola.io/security

Data archiving and removal policy

Retention Period: Data is retained as long as it is needed for business purposes or to meet regulatory or contractual requirements. - Once data is no longer needed, it is either securely archived or disposed of. - Data owners, in consultation with legal counsel, determine appropriate retention periods. Data Deletion / Removal - Customer data is deleted within 60 days of contract termination through a manual data deletion process. - Devices used by employees are securely wiped before being re-provisioned or disposed. - If a device is damaged and can’t be wiped, Parabola may use an e-waste vendor that provides certified data destruction. Restricted and confidential data must be securely deleted when no longer needed. Data on hard drives, mobile devices, or paper must be securely destroyed prior to disposal. To request to update or delete the personal data that we have collected about you and your account, users can email us at support@parabola.io.

Data storage policy

Data sent to or from Parabola is encrypted in transit using 256 bit encryption. Our API and application endpoints use industry standard SSL/TLS 1.2+ (Secure Sockets Layer/Transport Layer Security) encryption. Data stored by Parabola is encrypted at rest using an industry-standard AES-256 encryption algorithm. We never store passwords in plaintext. All passwords are stored as an irreversible hash in our database.
