Data retention policy
Rootstuff retains customer account data (monitors, check results, incident history) for as long as the account is active. Data received from Slack is limited to what installation returns: workspace name and ID, channel name and ID, and the incoming webhook URL. This is retained only while the channel connection exists. No Slack message content or workspace member data is ever accessed or stored.
Data archiving and removal policy
Disconnecting a Slack channel deletes its webhook URL and connection record immediately. Deleting a Sentinel account removes all associated customer data, including any Slack connections. Routine database backups expire on a rolling schedule, after which removed data is no longer present in any backup.
Data storage policy
Customer data is stored in a managed database on dedicated cloud servers, with TLS for all data in transit. Sensitive values, including Slack webhook URLs, monitor credentials, and API tokens, are encrypted at rest at the application layer.
