Ethnio is participant recruiting and research operations for UX and product teams — and this app brings the moments that matter into Slack.Connect Slack to receive alerts in any channel you'd like about studies, participant rating requests and more. Each study can post to its own channel, and you can switch or disconnect at any time.Your team can rate participants without leaving Slack. After a session, Ethnio posts your rating questions as buttons right in the channel. Anyone on the team can click to rate a participant, the rating is attributed to the teammate who clicked, and it rolls up into that participant's history and quality score in your Ethnio pool.Ethnio only posts to the channels you choose and requests the minimum permissions needed: posting notifications and matching a rating click to a workspace member.An Ethnio account is required to use this app. For more information, check us out at https://ethn.io — we're happy to answer any questions. Privacy & data governance
Data retention policy
Ethnio retains Customer Data only for as long as needed to provide the service. Customers control retention directly: automatic deletion can be set from 1 to 12 months across the whole account, and data collection can be turned off entirely. Each new response starts its own retention clock, so the most recent activity determines when older data is removed.
Data archiving and removal policy
Ethnio removes Customer Data automatically once it passes the retention period set on the account. Customers can also request complete deletion at any time through our "right to be forgotten" process, which permanently erases the data from our systems and all connected sub-processors. If an account is cancelled, Ethnio permanently wipes all Customer Data from all servers, including backups and sub-processors, within 24 hours.
Data storage policy
Ethnio stores all Customer Data with Amazon Web Services in the US West (Oregon) region. Ethnio is certified SOC 2 Type 1 & Type 2, data is kept on physically separated servers, and encrypted backups are made nightly and stored in a separate location.

Data deletion request procedure
When someone requests deletion, Ethnio permanently erases their data from our systems and from all connected sub-processors. The person submits the request (for individuals, through our "right to be forgotten" page by entering their email), receives one confirmation email, and then the data is permanently deleted — there is no undo. Customers can also delete data themselves at any time from their account, and Enterprise customers can send automated deletion requests through our Access & Erasure API. If a customer cancels their account, all their data is permanently wiped from all servers, including backups and sub-processors, within 24 hours.
