Zoom for Slack

Slack is all about bringing teams together, and collaboration often requires face-to-face meetings. Whether scheduled or on the fly, the Zoom app makes it easy to instantly start or join a meeting, right from within Slack.

If you're using the Legacy Zoom app, follow the steps below Update the legacy app to update.

Note: There's a bug with Zoom in older versions of the Slack mobile apps. Update to the latest version to ensure everything works properly!

Before you install

Before you install the app, you'll want to confirm the following:

  • You have a Zoom account.
  • The same email address is associated with Slack and Zoom.
  • You're a Zoom admin with permission to add apps to Slack.
  • You have either a Zoom Pro, Business, Education, or API plan.

Install the app

  1. Visit Zoom and click Add to Slack.
  2. Sign in to your Zoom account. 
  3. From the integrations page, select Authorize.
  4. When prompted, select Authorize for your Slack workspace.

To update the Zoom app, you must be a Zoom admin with permission to add apps to Slack.

Step 1: Uninstall the legacy Zoom app

  1. From your desktop, click your workspace name in the top left.
  2. Select Administration from the menu.
  3. Choose Manage apps.
  4. Select Zoom (legacy) from the list of apps. 
  5. Click Remove in the top right to uninstall the app.

Step 2: Remove the integration from your Zoom account

  1. From Zoom account management, open the integrations page.
  2. Click Configure on Slack (Legacy) and delete the workspace domain in the Slack Team Domain(s) field.

Step 3: Authorize the new Zoom app

  1. From the integrations page in your Zoom account, select Authorize.
  2. When prompted, select Authorize for your Slack workspace.
