Asana is the easiest way for teams to coordinate and manage their work. With the Asana app for Slack, you can turn your conversations into action and create new tasks in Asana
— all without leaving Slack.
Install the app
Head to the
Asana app page in the Slack App Directory. Click
Add to Slack. Click
Continue. Choose channels Asana can post to. To select direct messages, click the
Search for channels field and scroll down to that section. Click
Note: If your workspace has the approved apps feature turned on, only Workspace Owners, Admins, and approved members will have permission to add apps to Slack.
Use Asana in Slack
Once the app is installed, you and other members of your workspace need to sign in to Asana to get started.
Sign in to Asana
From your desktop, click
Apps in the left sidebar. If you don't see this option, click More to find it. Search for and select
Asana to open a direct message with the app. Type
/asana into the message field and send the message. Click
Connect Asana to Slack and follow the prompts. Click
Allow to grant the app access to your Asana account. Select
With the Asana app, you can:
