Customise call settings for your workspace or organisation

The  phone icon is available by default for all members to make Slack calls in your workspace or Enterprise Grid organisation. There are a few ways to customise the voice and video call settings:

  • Show the phone icon to operate Slack calls for everyone.
  • Hide the phone icon to turn off Slack calls for everyone.
  • Set the phone icon to operate a different third-party calling app.

Bear in mind: Any owner or admin can manage workspace call settings and any changes will impact all members. Members cannot customise their call settings individually.

  1. From your desktop, go to Slack’s App Directory and choose a calling app.

  2. Select Administration, then Settings & permissions from the menu.
  3. Next to Calls, click Expand.
