Manage shared channel permissions

By default, members can request to share channels in your workspace or Enterprise Grid org with external organisations. Owners and admins can enable or disable the option to share channels at any time. If the option to share channels is available, owners and admins can choose who has permission to manage them and where requests are sent for approval.

Tip: Visit Manage channels shared with external organisations for step-by-step instructions on managing shared channels.

Select a channel for managing requests

By default, requests are sent via direct messages (DMs) from Slackbot, but owners and admins can choose to send requests to a specific channel in their workspace or org. Anyone with permission can approve or deny requests directly from the channel.
