Adjust your zoom level in Slack

There are two ways to adjust your zoom level (making the app display larger or smaller) so that the text in Slack is easier to read:

  • Using a keyboard shortcut
  • From your preferences (available on desktop apps only)


Keyboard shortcut

On our desktop app and web browsers, you can adjust your zoom level on the fly using the keyboard shortcuts below:

  Mac Windows/Linux
Zoom in + Ctrl+
Zoom out - Ctrl-



On the desktop app, you can adjust your zoom level from your preferences.

  1. From your desktop, click your workspace name in the top left.
  2. Choose Preferences.
  3. Click Accessibility.

Tip: If you’re using Slack for iOS, you can adjust text size in your OS settings. You won’t see this preference in your Slack settings from the iOS app.
