Invite new members to your workspace from your Google or Microsoft Outlook directory

You can send Slack invitations to any of your teammates by connecting your Google or Microsoft Outlook directory to your workspace.

The basics

  • Any member of a Slack workspace with a G Suite Business or Microsoft Office 365 account can connect their directory to send or request workspace invitations.
  • Your Google and Outlook directory contacts will not be stored in Slack, and you can disconnect your directory from Slack at any time.
  • A G Suite or Office 365 administrator at your company may choose to block access to the directory. If you don't see the option to connect your directory in Slack, ask a G Suite or Office 365 admin for help.

Note: You can only connect your Microsoft Outlook directory to Slack if you use Office 365. This feature isn't supported for on-premises Microsoft Exchange customers.

Note: The ability to invite members from Outlook is rolling out gradually. If you don't see this option yet, rest assured that we’re making the feature available to all workspaces and we appreciate your patience.
