You can share messages in Slack when you need to add context or key information to conversations. Messages in public channels can be shared to any other conversation in Slack, but messages from private channels and direct messages can only be shared in their original conversations. To share a message, you have two options:
Use the share message icon
Copy a link to the message
Share a message
Using the share message icon, you can automatically forward a message to another conversation along with an optional message or note.

On your desktop, hover over the message that you’d like to share, and click the Share message icon on the right.
Use the drop-down menu to choose where you'd like to share the message, and add a note if you'd like.
Click Share to see the message expand.
Tap and hold the message that you'd like to share and select Share message.
Choose where you want to share the message.
Add an optional note if you like.
Tap Send.
Tap and hold the message that you’d like to share and select Share message.
Tap the #channel name and choose where you want to share the message.
Add an optional note if you like.
Tap the paper planeicon to share.
Copy a link to a message
You can manually copy a message link and paste it to another conversation to share it. The message will expand, just like when you share other links in Slack.

Hover over the message that you’d like to share.
Click the three dots icon and choose Copy link.
Paste the link into the message field, add text of your own if you’d like, and press Enter to send it.
Tap and hold the message that you’d like to share.
Tap Copy link to message.
Paste the link in a channel or direct message and tap the paper plane icon to send. The copied link will expand to display the message that you're quoting.
