Save messages and files You can save messages and files in Slack to easily come back to them later. Your saved items are only visible to you and can be viewed in one place from your desktop or mobile device.
Tip: To make a message or file easier to reference for other members, try pinning the item to a conversation .

Hover over the message that you'd like to save.
Click the save icon .
Save a file
Hover over the file that you'd like to save.
Click the More actions icon .
Select Save in Slack .

Tap the message that you’d like to save.
Tap the save icon .
Save a file
Tap the file that you’d like to save.
Tap the three dots icon in the bottom right.
Choose Save .
Note: Saved files can only be viewed in Slack, but you can download them to your device to view them offline.
View your saved items

Once you’ve saved a message or file, Saved items will appear near the top of your left sidebar. You can find all of your saved items there.
Tip: If you don’t see Saved items in your sidebar, click More to find it. If you still don’t see it, you may not have saved any messages or files yet.
Tap You at the bottom of the screen.
Tap Saved items .
Remove a message or file from your saved items

Click Saved items near the top of your left sidebar. If you don't see this option, click More to find it.
Hover over the message or file that you’d like to remove from your saved items.
Click the save icon .
Tap You at the bottom of the screen.
Tap Saved items .
Press and hold the message or file that you’d like to remove from your saved items.
Select Remove from saved items .
