Review flagged content on Enterprise Grid

Members of your Enterprise Grid organisation can flag messages for admins to review. Org owners and content admins can view the details of the flagged content, decide how to manage it and view a historical record of flagged content from the admin dashboard.

Note: By default, org owners can view and manage flagged content. If you’d like to, you can assign members of your org to the Content Admin role.

Manage flagged content settings

On Enterprise Grid organisations that are using Enterprise Key Management (EKM), flagged content is automatically enabled and cannot be disabled. If your Enterprise Grid organisation doesn’t use EKM, you can enable or disable this feature:

  1. From your desktop, click your organisation name in the sidebar.
  2. Hover over Tools & settings, then click Organisation settings.
  3. From the left sidebar, select   Settings, then click Organisation settings.
  4. Next to Flagged content review, click Edit.
  5. Tick or untick the box next to Enable members to flag content for review.
  6. If you’d like to send notifications to specific reviewers, tick the box next to Alert certain content admins when messages are flagged, then search for and select the members.
  7. If you’d like reviewers to include a note with their decision, tick the box next to Require content admins to add a note when hiding or dismissing a flagged message.
  8. Click on Save.

Review flagged content

From the admin dashboard, you can view details about the content that your members have flagged and decide if you’d like to dismiss the report, or hide the content from your org.

  1. From your desktop, click your organisation name in the sidebar.
  2. Hover over Tools & settings, then click Organisation settings.
  3. From the left sidebar, select   Security, then click Flagged content.
  4. Click the message preview in the Content column to view details of the flagged content, then click Manage in the top-right corner.
  5. Select Dismiss or Hide message from the menu.
  6. Enter a note to explain your decision, if you like (or if it’s required for your org), then click Dismiss or Hide

Note: For Slack Connect conversations, flagged content is sent to the admin dashboard in the submitter’s organisation, regardless of who authored it. Admins will only be able to hide content that is authored by members of their own organisation.

View flagged content history

You can revisit previously flagged content to see details such as the date when it was flagged, who reviewed it, whether it was dismissed or hidden, and more.

  1. From your desktop, click your organisation name in the sidebar.
  2. Hover over Tools & settings, then click Organisation settings.
  3. From the left sidebar, select   Security, then click Flagged content.
  4. Select the History tab at the top of the dashboard.
  5. Review the content in the dashboard, or click on the message preview in the Content column to view additional details.

Export flagged content

You can export a list of flagged content that's pending review or a list of your org’s flagged content history to a CSV file.

  1. From your desktop, click your organisation name in the sidebar.
  2. Hover over Tools & settings, then click Organisation settings.
  3. From the left sidebar, select   Security, then click Flagged content.
  4. From either the Flagged content or History tab, click the export button in the top-right corner, then select Export CSV.
