Provide members guidelines for using Slack Connect on Enterprise Grid

Org Owners and Admins can include specific guidelines for members to follow when using Slack Connect. Members will see these guidelines when they join a channel or start a direct message (DM) with people outside your organization.

Add guidelines for Slack Connect

  1. From your desktop, click your workspace name in the top left.
  2. Select Settings & administration from the menu, then click Organization settings.
  3. Click  Slack Connect in the left sidebar, then select Settings.
  4. Next to Guidelines for using Slack Connect, click Edit.
  5. Select Link to add a link to your guidelines, or select Text to input them into a text field.
  6. Click Enable Guidelines.


Edit or disable guidelines for Slack Connect

  1. From your desktop, click your workspace name in the top left.
  2. Select Settings & administration from the menu, then click Organization settings.
  3. Click  Slack Connect in the left sidebar, then select Settings.
  4. Next to Guidelines for using Slack Connect, click Edit.
  5. To edit, make your changes, then click Save. To remove guidelines, click Disable Guidelines.
