Upgrade a free workspace to a paid subscription Looking to upgrade from the free version of Slack to a paid subscription? That's great news, as you'll be one step closer to accessing more Slack features! We've outlined everything that you need to know to upgrade your workspace below.
Who can upgrade a workspace and how?
Tip: Upgrading to a paid subscription will remove message, file storage and app limits .
Upgrade a workspace
Pay by credit card
Pay by invoice
Visit https://my.slack.com/plans to review subscriptions and pricing details.
To select a subscription, click Upgrade now .
Below the subscription name in the top right, choose a payment schedule.
Add your company information.
Select the Pay by card tab, then enter your credit card information.
Click Review order , then Purchase to confirm. You'll be billed for the number of active users in your workspace when you upgrade. Review our fair billing policy to learn more about how billing works.
Note: We accept American Express, Mastercard and Visa credit cards. It's not currently possible to pay for Slack with JCB.
Note: For self-serve invoices, we can't complete vendor or payment forms, upload invoices to portals or make manual revisions at this time.
To pay by self-serve invoice, your workspace must be on an annual payment schedule and meet certain workspace requirements . If you're eligible to pay by invoice, follow the steps below:
Visit https://my.slack.com/plans to review subscriptions and pricing details.
To select a subscription, click Upgrade now .
Below the subscription name in the top right, select Billed yearly .
Add your company information.
Select the Pay by invoice tab, then enter the number of members that you’d like to pay for. This number must include all of your active members .
Below Also send a receipt to , enter additional payment contacts . You can also fill in a purchase order number if you like.
Click Review order , then Purchase to finish. Payment is due within 30 days via ACH, cheque or wire transfer. Slack's bank details will be listed on your invoice.
Note: Remember that you’ll be charged a remittance fee when paying by invoice.
Note: Customers in the European Union paying by credit card may be required to use two-factor authentication during checkout. To learn more, visit Strong customer authentication for Slack purchases .
