Sign in with Slack button is a simple and secure way to sign in to other apps using your Slack account.
When you come across an app with the
Sign in with Slack button, click it to connect your Slack account to the app. Click Authorize to confirm your identity and give permission to the service the first time you use it.
Note: Sign in with Slack grants apps you authorize access to your profile information. It does not grant access to other team members’ profile info, or any messages or files in your Slack team.
Sign in quickly and securely
Sign in with Slack works with a growing number of apps. Here are some of the benefits:
You don’t need to create new accounts to use those apps.
It is easier and faster to sign in to apps you use.
Your account can benefit from security measures offered by Slack, such as
two-factor authentication and single sign-on, even if they’re not supported by other apps.
Tip: You can try Sign in with Slack now with Quip and Figma.
Manage your apps
If you’ve given an app permission to sign in with Slack, you can remove that permission at any time.
From your desktop, click
Apps in the left sidebar. Select
App Directory in the top-right corner to go to the Slack App Directory. Click
Manage in the top right of the page. From your Apps page, click
Connected Accounts to the left. Select an app from the list and click
Disconnect. Tip: If you're a developer, check out our API docs to learn how to add a Sign in With Slack button to your app.
