Manage your keyboard layout

On your desktop, Slack will automatically detect the layout of your keyboard to make sure that the app is in sync. If for some reason Slack can't detect what keyboard you're using, we'll display the option to manually adjust your keyboard preference.

Select your keyboard layout

You'll only see the option to select your keyboard layout if Slack can't detect the keyboard that you're using.

  1. From your desktop, click on your profile picture in the top right.
  2. Select Preferences from the menu.
  3. Select Language & region.
  4. Below Keyboard layout, open the drop-down menu to select an option.
