Name changes are sometimes needed for a variety of personal and professional reasons. Whatever the case may be, as an owner or admin of a workspace or an Enterprise Grid organisation, you have the option to edit the full name, display name or username fields for your members.

When single sign-on is enabled
If your workspace uses single sign-on (SSO), you'll need to allow members to change their display names so that you'll have the option to edit them. Learn how to access your SSO settings.
Tip: Workspaces with SAML-based SSO can update members' names from within the identity provider (IDP). Changes will be refreshed the next time that the members sign in to Slack.
