To sign in to Slack, you need to know your workspace’s Slack URL. Workspace Owners and Admins can help members sign in to the desktop app more easily by downloading a default sign-in file and sharing it with their team.
When members save this file to their computer, their workspace URL will automatically populate on the desktop app. Members still have the option to manually enter any workspace URL they’d like.
A default sign-in file will only populate the workspace URL if a member hasn’t signed in to any workspaces on the desktop app before. Otherwise, they’ll be prompted to enter their workspace URL to sign in.
Note: You can also configure desktop apps in your environment with a default workspace URL using the DefaultSignInTeam setting.

From your desktop, click your workspace name in the sidebar.
