Customise call settings for your workspace or organisation

By default, all members can make calls in Slack using the  phone icon. Depending on your subscription, there are a few ways to customise call settings.

  • On all subscriptions, you can enable or disable calls in Slack for everyone.
  • On all subscriptions, you can change the default calling app for members. This will display a third-party calling app instead of Slack’s calling feature from the phone icon.
  • On the Standard, Plus and Enterprise Grid subscriptions, you can choose to display multiple third-party calling apps from the phone icon, in addition to Slack’s calling feature. You can also allow outbound phone calls if you've installed apps that support this functionality.

Note: Slack permits phone calls, but only via a third-party provider and app. You will need to contract Internet or telecommunications services from them directly. Slack does not charge you for using these integrations.
