Customise call settings for your workspace or organisation

By default, the  phone icon is available for all members to make calls in Slack. Depending on the subscription that you’re on, there are a few ways to customise voice and video call settings.

  • On all subscriptions, you can disable or enable calls in Slack for everyone. This will determine if the phone icon is hidden or displayed.
  • On all subscriptions, you can change the default calling app for members. This will display a third-party calling app instead of Slack’s calling feature when you click the phone icon.
  • On the Standard, Plus and Enterprise Grid subscriptions, in addition to Slack’s calling feature, you can use multiple third-party calling apps from the phone icon. You can also allow outbound phone calls.

Keep in mind: Any changes that an owner or admin makes to their workspace or Enterprise Grid org's call settings will impact all members.

Enable or disable calls in Slack
