Manage animated images and emoji

Some of the custom emoji and GIFs shared in your workspace may move or flash. To manage these animations, you can change your preferences at any time.

  1. Click your profile picture in the sidebar.

  2. Select Preferences from the menu.
  3. Select Accessibility from the list.
  4. Under Animation, check or uncheck the box next to Automatically play animations in Slack.
  1. Tap your profile picture at the top of your screen.
  2. Tap   Preferences.
  3. Under Accessibility, tap   Animation & Haptics.
  4. Tap the toggle next to   Allow Animated Images on or off, or tap the toggle next to   Sync with iOS to match this setting with your device.

Tip: On your desktop, you can collapse any image by clicking the
 arrow icon beside the image name.
