Supported payment methods

The fastest way to pay for Slack's Standard or Plus plan is with a credit card, but your workspace may be eligible to receive an invoice. Read below for details, and send us a note if you have questions.

Pay by credit card

For monthly or annual billing, you can use a credit card to pay for your Slack plan. Credit card details can be managed from the Billing page by Workspace Owners or the person who upgraded a workspace to a paid plan.

Note: We accept American Express, Mastercard, and Visa credit cards. It's not currently possible to pay for Slack with JCB.

Pay by invoice

Some workspaces can use self-serve invoices to pay via check or direct deposit. Invoices are emailed to Workspace Owners and to any billing contacts. At this time, we can’t complete vendor or payment forms, upload invoices to portals, or make manual revisions.

If you're a Workspace Owner, you'll see the invoice option if your workspace meets the following criteria:

  • Your workspace has at least 3 active members
  • You pay for Slack annually
  • Your purchase is a minimum of $2,000 USD

Note: Keep in mind that you’ll be charged a remittance fee when paying by invoice.

Note: Customers in our Slack for Education program can pay by invoice for workspaces with 25 or more members.
