View channels

The Org Primary Owner, and any Org Owners or Org Admins with permission, can use the steps below to view information for the channels in their org.

  1. From your desktop, click your workspace name in the top left.
  2. Click Settings & administration from the menu, then click Organization settings.
  3. Click   Channels in the left sidebar.
  4. Scroll through the list to view all the channels in your org. You can also filter channels by channel type or workspace. Check the box next to Show archived channels to view archived channels. Manage channels

The Org Primary Owner, and any Org Owners or Org Admins with permission, can use the steps below to take action on channels in their org.

  1. From the channel list in the org dashboard, click the  three dots icon to the right of the channel name.
  2. Select the action you’d like to take.
  3. Make and save your changes.

Once you've taken an action on a channel, Slack will post a message to that channel to let members know. The message will let the members in that channel know which admin took an action using the channel management tool, and it will inform them that this tool does not let them view the channel’s content.
