Add or remove workflow collaborators

Who can use this feature?
  • Members who collaborate on workflows
  • Available on paid plans

To allow other people to manage a workflow you created, you can add them as collaborators. Workflow collaborators will have the same permissions you do as the workflow creator and can take the following actions:

  • Change a workflow’s name, description, and custom icon
  • Edit or remove workflow steps
  • Unpublish or delete a workflow
  • Add or remove other collaborators


Manage collaborators

  1. From your desktop, click your workspace name in the top left.
  2. Select Tools from the menu, then click Workflow Builder.
  3. Choose a workflow from the list. 
  4. Click the three dots icon, then select Settings
  5. Next to Permissions, click Edit
  6. Below Who can collaborate on this workflow, search for people you'd like to add. To remove someone, click the next to their name. Slackbot will notify people when they're added or removed.
  7. Click Save

  • Adjust workflow permissions
  • View workflow activity
  • Unpublish or delete a workflow
  • Add or remove other collaborators

Note: Owners and admins can add themselves as collaborators on any published workflow in their workspace or Enterprise Grid organization from the workflow dashboard. If you add yourself as a collaborator on a workflow in a private channel you don’t belong to, you won’t be able to see the name of the channel. 

Manage collaborators

  1. From your desktop, click your workspace name in the sidebar.
  2. Select Tools & settings from the menu, then click Workflow Builder.
  3. Choose a workflow from the list. 
  4. Click the  three dots icon, then select Settings.
  5. Next to Permissions, click Edit.
  6. Below Collaborators, search for people you'd like to add. To remove someone, click the next to their name. Slackbot will notify people when they're added or removed.
  7. Click Save
