Set reminders in Slack to help you remember to do certain tasks. Use the shortcuts menu to set reminders for yourself or for a channel, or use the More actions menu to set reminders for specific messages that you’d like to come back to later.
Note: You can create reminders in your preferred language, but we recommend using the American English date and time format. Make sure that you consider the time zones of everyone who will be notified when setting reminders in a channel.

Reminders set for messages and files will be saved in your Later view. From the In progress tab, you can adjust the time frame for reminders, mark them as complete, or archive them.
Set your default reminder time
By default, any reminders for a day (such as ‘tomorrow’ or ‘every Tuesday’) will be delivered at 09:00 in your time zone. If you like, you can adjust this:
From your desktop, click on your profile picture in the top right.
Select Preferences from the menu.
Under Set a default time for reminder notifications, select an option from the drop-down menu.
Manage reminders
View your reminders
For personal reminders, and reminders about messages and files, click Later at the top of your sidebar to view them alongside the rest of your saved items.
Type /remind list in the message field and send the message to a channel to view and manage reminders for that particular channel.
Tip: You can filter upcoming reminders to focus on what's due first. Click the Filter icon, then uncheck Show upcoming reminders.
Dismiss reminders
From Later, you can mark a reminder as complete or delete it. If you need a little more time, you can also edit the reminder’s due date, or snooze it for an hour, three hours, or until the next day.
Marking a reminder Complete from the In progress tab will dismiss the reminder and move the item to the Completed tab.
Note: It's not possible to mark recurring reminders as complete, but you can delete them.
