Set reminders in Slack to help you remember to do certain tasks. Use the shortcuts menu to set reminders for yourself or for a channel. You can also set reminders from specific messages you’d like to come back to later.
Note: You can create reminders in your preferred language, but we recommend using the American English date and time format. Be sure to consider the time zones of everyone who will be notified when setting reminders in a channel.

Set your default reminder time
By default, any reminders for a day (like “tomorrow” or “every Tuesday”) will be delivered at 9 a.m. in your time zone. If you’d like, you can adjust this:
From your desktop, click on your profile picture in the top right.
Select Preferences from the menu to open your notification preferences.
Under Set a default time for reminder notifications, click the drop-down menu and select an option.
Manage reminders
View a list of reminders
Type /remind list in the message field and send the message to view a list of your upcoming, past, and incomplete reminders. To view and manage reminders for a particular channel, type /remind list in the message field and send the message in that channel.
Click Later at the top of your sidebar to view reminders you’ve set for yourself along with the rest of your saved items.
Dismiss reminders
From your list of reminders or from a reminder message from Slackbot, you can mark a reminder as complete, delete it, or snooze it for 20 minutes, an hour, or until the next day. Marking a reminder as completed from the In progress tab will dismiss the reminder and move the message to the Completed tab.
Note: It's not possible to mark recurring reminders as complete, but you can delete them.
