When building a workflow in Slack, you may want to add connector steps that let your workflow take actions in other services (like sending information to a Google spreadsheet). If your workspace or Enterprise Grid organization requires app approval, you’ll need to request approval for connectors to add their steps to your workflows.
Submit a request
From your desktop, click your workspace name in the top left.
Select Tools from the menu, then click Workflow Builder.
Create a new workflow, or open one you’ve already created.
Below Steps, find the connector you’d like to use in the list of steps (or search for the name).
Click Request. You’ll receive a direct message (DM) from Slackbot when your request has been reviewed.
When building a workflow in Slack, you may want to add third-party steps that let your workflow take actions in other services (like sending information to a Google spreadsheet). If your workspace or Enterprise Grid organization requires app approval, or if the steps require additional configuration, you’ll need to send a request to your admins before you can add these steps to your workflows.
Submit a request
From your desktop, click your workspace name in the top left.
Select Tools & settings from the menu, then click Workflow Builder.
Create a new workflow, or open one you’ve already created.
Below Steps, find or search for the name of third-party app you'd like to add a step for.
Click Request. You’ll receive a direct message (DM) from Slackbot when your request has been reviewed.
If the third-party app requires additional configuration, you'll see an alert when selecting the third-party step. Click Request help from an admin to request configuration help.
