Use Slack Connect with free teams

On Enterprise Grid, you can use Slack Connect with free teams to make working with people outside your company more seamless. When this setting is enabled, teams on a free plan can join channels they’re invited to in your org without having to upgrade or start a free trial. 


Manage connections with free teams

By default, the setting to use Slack Connect with free teams is enabled, but Org Owners and Org Admins can manage this from the admin dashboard. If you change this setting, only affect future invitations sent from your organization will be affected. 

  1. From your desktop, click your workspace name in the sidebar.
  2. Select Tools & settings from the menu, then click Organization settings.
  3. Click  Slack Connect in the left sidebar, then select Settings.
  4. Next to Use Slack Connect with free teams, click Edit.
  5. Check the box next to Enable, then click Save Setting.
