Deleting a workspace is permanent, and only the Primary Owner can do so. If you're not the Workspace Primary Owner, you won't see the option to delete your workspace. You'll need to contact your Primary Owner for help. ⚠️ Keep in mind
Before deleting, consider
exporting workspace data first. Once deleted, all the workspace's messages and files are irretrievable.
You can only delete a workspace from your desktop — this action isn't available on mobile devices.
To remove a workspace from an Enterprise Grid org, the workspace's Primary Owner must delete it.
Tip: Need to change your workspace's name or URL? There's no need to delete your workspace — you can change either of these from Settings & Permissions under Workspace Name & URL.
Delete a workspace
If you're the workspace's Primary Owner, use the steps below to delete your workspace:
From your desktop, click your workspace name in the top left.
Settings & administration, then select Workspace settings. Scroll down to
Delete Workspace. Click
Delete Workspace. Check the box to confirm you want to delete the workspace.
Enter your Slack account password and click
Yes, delete my workspace.
Note: If you sign in to Slack using single sign-on (SSO) and have forgotten your Slack password, you can reset it.
