Set up keyword notifications

Keywords are words that you can choose to be notified about in Slack. Whenever someone uses one of your keywords in a channel that you've joined, you'll receive a notification and see the keyword highlighted in yellow.

Things to keep in mind

  • Add words or phrases for things like the name of a project that you're responsible for, or something that you definitely don't want to miss out on (like the coffee order).
  • Your keywords are not case-sensitive, so cuppa, Cuppa and CUPPA will all create the same notification.

  • You’ll only receive notifications for exact matches to your keyword, so cuppasoup will not create a notification for cuppa.
