Slack administration: Authorize billing and set a limit for additional premium workflow runs

Workspaces on paid plans include an allotment of premium workflow runs that resets monthly. If you've reached your allotment before it has refreshed, you can authorize payment for additional premium workflow runs. To manage what you spend on additional premium workflow runs, you can set a spending limit.

Note: Customers with a dedicated account manager will need to reach out to our Sales team to purchase additional workflow runs.

Authorize additional workflow runs

You can authorize payment for unlimited additional premium workflow runs, or set a limit. Keep in mind that once you authorize payment, any additional runs beyond your monthly allotment will be charged to your payment method at a rate of $0.05/run.

  1. From your desktop, click your workspace name in the sidebar.
  2. Select Tools & settings, then Billing from the menu.
  3. From the Overview tab, scroll to Premium Workflows and click Authorize payment.
  4. Review the authorization information and set a limit if you'd like, then click Authorize.

Set a limit on additional workflow runs

To help manage costs, you can decide how many premium workflow runs beyond your monthly allotment are allowed. Once the limit is reached, additional runs will be automatically blocked until your allotment resets.

  1. From your desktop, click your workspace name in the sidebar.
  2. Select Tools & settings, then Billing from the menu.
  3. From the Overview tab, scroll to Premium Workflows and click Set limit.
  4. Enter the amount that you'd like to spend, then click Save.

Tip: You’ll receive notifications from Slackbot letting you know when you’re nearing or have reached 100% of your additional runs.

Edit or remove a limit

You can increase, decrease or remove a limit on additional premium workflow runs at any time. Removing a limit allows you to use unlimited additional runs.

  1. From your desktop, click your workspace name in the sidebar.
  2. Select Tools & settings, then Billing from the menu.
  3. From the Overview tab, scroll to Premium Workflows and click Edit limit.
  4. Enter a new amount, then click Save.

Block additional workflow runs

You can block additional premium workflow runs you've authorized at any time to pause your spending. Premium workflow runs will resume automatically when your allotment resets.

  1. From your desktop, click your workspace name in the sidebar.
  2. Select Tools & settings, then Billing from the menu.
  3. From the Overview tab, scroll to Premium Workflows and click Block additional runs.
  4. Additional workflow runs will be blocked until your allotment refreshes. Click Block Additional Runs to finish.
