System roles on Enterprise Grid

On Slack’s Enterprise Grid subscription, system roles give organisations more flexibility around the permissions that can be granted to members. Admins can give users one or many system roles to help them manage the organisation.

System role Permissions
Channels admin Create/archive/rename/delete channels, convert channels to private, remove users from public/private channels, set posting permissions, add full members to private channels, add guests to channels and share/unshare channels across workspaces
Roles admin Add, remove and edit user roles
Users admin
Add/remove users from workspace, edit profile details, convert users to guest role, convert users to member, deactivate/reactivate user accounts, convert to admin/owner roles

Additional system roles will be released in the future. Stay tuned!
