Manage referrer information

Some websites track their visitors to see where they’re coming from. This kind of tracking is called referrer information. This means that clicking a link shared in Slack could reveal your workspace or Enterprise Grid organisation's URL to that site.

By default, Slack hides your workspace and org's URL from external sites' logs. Clicking links in Slack will trigger a redirect that removes your Slack URL. You won't notice a thing – it all happens behind the scenes!

If you like, workspace owners and admins can disable this redirect. Keep in mind that this could possibly share your Slack URL with external sites.
